The New Jersey Coalition of Treatment Providers (NJCTP) is a strategic, statewide alliance comprising more than 290 behavioral health professionals, accredited treatment providers, sector leaders, and community advocates, united by the shared mission of reforming and advancing New Jersey’s behavioral health system through the promotion of ethical, inclusive, and empirically grounded public policy.
With an unwavering commitment to participant-centered care, NJCTP systematically addresses the structural challenges that impede the effective delivery of services, while maintaining a firm and proactive stance against corruption, fraud, and abusive practices that undermine the sector’s integrity.
Through coordinated policy advocacy and interinstitutional collaboration, the Coalition serves as an essential interlocutor between frontline providers and policymakers. Our mission is to ensure that both lived experience and professional expertise jointly inform, with balance and precision, the design of a behavioral health system that is more equitable, responsive, and sustainable for all New Jersey residents.
Ultimately, our vision is of a future in which every provider regardless of operational scale or specialty plays a substantive role in building a care framework that responds not only to clinical needs, but also to the ethical and social imperatives of a diverse and dynamic community.
We envision a New Jersey where behavioral health policy is shaped by those who live it, lead it, and rely on it most. A state where progressive, practical legislation fosters high-quality, ethical care—and where every treatment provider, regardless of size or specialization, has a meaningful role in shaping a healthier, more equitable future for all.
The New Jersey Coalition of Treatment Providers (NJCTP) is committed to advancing ethical, effective, and inclusive behavioral health legislation across the state. Representing a diverse alliance of treatment providers, stakeholders, and advocates, NJCTP works to shape laws and regulations addressing real-world challenges the behavioral health community faces.
At the heart of our mission is a steadfast dedication to promoting client-centered care while combating corruption, fraud, and systemic abuse. Through strategic collaboration and unified advocacy, we strive to serve as the leading voice for professionals on the frontlines of treatment and recovery in New Jersey.
